This Advanced Gas Hydrate Triaxial Test System specifically designed to perform triaxial tests on sediment samples containing methane hydrates under extreme conditions, including sub-freezing temperatures and high pressures.

A Gas Hydrate Triaxial Test System is a specialized laboratory setup designed to simulate and study the mechanical behavior of gas hydrates in soils, typically under varying pressure, temperature, and environmental conditions. Gas hydrates are crystalline structures formed from water and gas (like methane) under high pressure and low temperature, commonly found in deep-sea sediments or permafrost regions. These structures can impact soil stability and are of significant interest in fields like energy extraction, geotechnical engineering, and climate science.

The system has been significantly enhanced in pore pressure fluid management, including capabilities for mixing, flow direction control, and circulation, to accommodate a wide range of test scenarios. These include the formation of hydrates in partially water-saturated sediments, permeability measurements, gas injection into fully water-saturated sediments, and fluid circulation through fully water-saturated samples.

Large Diameter Dynamic Triaxial Testing System Wille Geotechnik

The large-scale triaxial testing systems are customized construction systems configured based on the testing requirements of the customer. These systems are used to perform static tests on specimens with large particle sizes, such as dam ballast, railway ballast, and gravels. Columnless Cyclic Triaxial Testing System Wille Geotechnik

The column-less loading system applies the static and cyclic loads from the bottom of the Triaxial cell. The top of the cell is free operating space to facilitate installation of sample or local strain measuring devices. The Triaxial cell is connected to a lifting mechanism that lifts the cell wall up and gives the easiest way for the operator to handle the cell. The load piston has the possibility to compensate for cell pressure changes effected by the volume change of the piston inside the triaxial cell during cyclic and static tests. This loading system is specially designed and configured for cyclic Triaxial tests and use compensated ram technology. The system includes a special load pistol construction to compensate cell-pressure changes affected by the volume change of the movement of piston in and out of the triaxial cell.
